Caryopteris x clandonensis Sterling Silver

Height: 0,4–0,5 m

Caryopteris Sterling Silver is a deciduous shrub that grows to a height of about 1-1.5 m and a width of 0.6-0.8 m, with a dense system of shoots. Its leaves are aromatic, narrow, lance-shaped and grayish downy, rarely toothed or with entire margins. Its flowers are small and purple-blue, blooming in great numbers from August to September, in clusters at the tips of the shoots. It attracts butterflies and bees. It likes a sunny, warm spot and well-structured, nutrient-rich soil. It is drought tolerant. It needs a moderate amount of water. It is worth pruning hard in spring to get a dense shape and more abundant flowering. It can be used as a standalone plant, but can also be planted in groups of shrubs.
